Every so often, there are moments in business and in life that make you pause, smile, and
think, we’re on the right path.
For us at Lohas Fertiliser, being nominated for The Earthshot Prize 2025 is one of those
moments.
We can’t share details about the nomination process, the category, or the evaluation and we
fully respect that. But what we can say is this:
To be recognised by one of the most respected global platforms for environmental
innovation is a huge honour for our entire team.
Earthshot celebrates solutions with the potential to repair and regenerate our planet and
knowing that our work has been seen in that light is incredibly motivating.
Why this matters to us
When we began developing our enzyme-based technology to transform agricultural waste
into clean, carbon-negative organic fertiliser, it was driven by a simple belief:
Sustainable food production can’t wait.
Healthy soil, lower emissions, circular agriculture – these aren’t abstract ideas for us. They
are the future of farming, and they are happening right here in Shropshire.
This nomination isn’t about awards, and it certainly isn’t about self-congratulation. It’s about
momentum. It tells us that a world that values soil health, carbon-negative innovation, and
regenerative farming is taking shape and we are proud to be contributing.
Looking ahead
Tomorrow night, millions of people will tune in to watch The Earthshot Prize awards. We will
be watching too – not as finalists, but as believers in what this prize stands for:
Hope.
Action.
Innovation.
Courage to rethink the way the world grows food and cares for our planet.
We know we are still early in our journey. There is so much more to build, to learn, and to
deliver. But if this nomination tells us anything, it’s that the world needs solutions like ours –
solutions rooted in science, sustainability and a genuine desire to regenerate the earth we all
depend on.
To everyone who has supported us – farmers, growers, partners, and our community here in
Shropshire – thank you for believing in what we’re doing. We’re not slowing down.
We’re just getting started.
